About this event

Description : Meet some of Arizona’s most beautiful birds of prey up close and learn about their fascinating lives in the desert. Discover how these amazing birds adapt to desert life, help our environment, and face the pressures created by humans.

Experienced Volunteert Bird Handler for the evening will be Sonia Reid.

Based in Phoenix, Liberty Wildlife rescues and cares for nearly 10,000 sick, injured, and orphaned native Arizona animals each year. Through wildlife rehabilitation, education, and conservation, they work to protect Arizona’s wildlife and inspire us to become better stewards of our natural world. Join us in celebrating these wondrous modern-day dinosaurs!

Bio : Liberty Wildlife started in January 1981 when veterinarian Dr. Kathy Orr founded the non-profit organization out of her Scottsdale backyard. As one of the few local vets qualified to treat wild animals, she began taking in injured and orphaned creatures, growing from an initial intake of roughly 85 animals with three volunteers into a major conservation and rehabilitation center.

J oin Meeting In Person: Doors open at 6:30 pm for visiting with old and new friends and light refreshments. The program starts at 7:00 pm.
