- ➤ Local breakfast chain Over Easy is launching its fifth annual Dollars for a Dozen fundraiser this month to support Phoenix Children’s and fight hunger across Arizona. Guests at all 17 locations can donate $1 or more with their meal and the restaurant will match each donation—each dollar leading to a dozen eggs being donated to the United Food Bank through Hickman’s Family Farms and Shamrock Farms. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students from Gilbert Public Schools and Queen Creek Unified School District placed among the top winners at the 2025 National Civics Bee held in Queen Creek on March 28 at the Combs Performing Arts Center in San Tan Valley. Logan G. from Highland Junior High earned first place and will advance to the state contest on May 2 — the winners will receive cash prizes and more chances to compete. Queen Creek Independent
