- ➤ The Rotary Club of Queen Creek will host its third annual Rotary Run for Resilience on April 26 at 7 a.m. at Pecan Lake Entertainment. Local mental health professionals, businesses, and officials will join the run in support of teen mental health — Vice Mayor Leah Martineau will kick off the event for the second time. - ➤ Queen Creek Chamber will host its first Women in Business Conference on April 23 at Encanterra Country Club from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will feature keynote entrepreneur Bridgett McGowen, breakout sessions with Jan Newton & Waverly Newton-Kenny, and an interactive session with author Jennifer Shirkani focused on leadership and career strategies. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ 9-year-old Kennedy Dunn from Queen Creek will serve as the race starter at the 15th Annual Run to Fight Children’s Cancer on May 3 at Mesa’s Riverview Park—she is in remission and hopes to inspire others by showing that a normal life is possible after treatment.
