Queen Creek Town Council recently honored 11 star students and five teachers after each school nominated a candidate and award winners received gift cards from local shops — the council will invite nominations for next year’s program.

Taylor Morrison Homes has completed the purchase of 218 single-family lots in Queen Creek for $21 million — the lots are set on a 131-acre site at Borgata at San Tan Heights at the southwest corner of Thompson Road and Hunt Highway.

The sale will trigger the second phase of the 270-acre community while Shea Homes and Tripoint Homes construct homes in the first phase.
