The Queen Creek Police Department will host a three-day Partners in Policing Academy that gives residents a behind-the-scenes look at police work and specialized units like traffic, crime scene investigation, and K9 teams; the academy runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 1-2 and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 3 at the Community Chambers/Law Enforcement building (20727 E. Civic Parkway) with space for 25 participants (residents must be 18 or older, pass a background check, and have no felony or recent misdemeanor arrests).
