- ➤ A new Target store at Vineyard Towne Center in Queen Creek will open this October at 37666 N. Gantzel Road. The 145,000-square-foot store joins Verizon, Mattress Firm, My Doc Now and Pet Supplies Plus to make the center fully leased — additional dining and service tenants will open later. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Five young artists won the fifth annual Conservation Art Challenge at OdySea Aquarium by using recycled materials to design animal figures that show how to care for wildlife—winners included repeat Queen Creek champions Nini and Sam Guerrero along with finalists from other Valley communities. Families celebrated the winners during a special event that featured remarks from the aquarium’s Conservation Committee and free child admission tickets for all participants. Queen Creek Sun Times
