- ➤ Busy Bees Heritage Square opened its child care center in Queen Creek at 21467 S. Ellsworth Road on June 9 and held its ribbon cutting on July 16 with Mayor Julia Wheatley and local leaders present—featuring its BeeCurrious Curriculum for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years and a donation to CDT Kids. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Queen Creek Police Department received a 50,000-dollar grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway to help reduce juvenile DUI drug arrests. Queen Creek Independent
- ➤ Classes are back in session today for Queen Creek Unified School District and QCPD has urged drivers to follow designated drop-off and pick-up zones, parking rules, and to stay alert near crosswalks — motorists are asked to be patient as traffic delays are expected during the first weeks of school.
