The covered arenas at the Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre are open to public riders every Saturday in August from 6 a.m. to noon for the Beat the Heat Summer Open Riding Series—riders must sign a waiver upon arrival—waiver forms are available at the venue.
Residents in Queen Creek will celebrate the annual Founders' Day on Saturday, Sept.
20 at Frontier Family Park—an event featuring music, eating competitions, inflatables and Battle of the Badge relay style races from 5 to 9 p.m. Entry is free but some activities and vendor items will cost extra.

The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center will host Disney’s Descendants: The Musical from August 21-23 at 2149 E.
Ocotillo Road. The production features the children of the Evil Queen, Jafar and Maleficent who are given a chance to join Auradon Prep—presenting a fresh twist for family theater.
🏛️ Government
A developer will ask the Queen Creek Planning & Zoning Commission on Wednesday to rezone over 2 acres in the downtown core for a two-story medical building—an effort that could shift plans for local development.
