- ➤ Queen Creek invites local K-12 students to join an art and poetry contest for Constitution Week with entries submitted by Aug. 21 at the Municipal Services Building—winners will be announced at the Sept. 17 Town Council meeting and recognized at local events. Queen Creek Sun Times
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The town of Queen Creek will hold an online auction for naming rights of Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre arena 1 on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m. Bidders must register by Monday, Aug. 25, with offers in $5,000 increments starting at $20,000 for a five-year contract with a five-year renewal option—bidding will continue until no bids come in for 30 minutes. - ➤ Frank West Capital LLC is asking the Queen Creek Town Council to annex 5 acres of county land near San Tan Boulevard and Ellsworth Road to build four medical and office buildings—this proposal could add new local health and business services.
