Starting this weekend, the Valley will host events including a film festival in Mesa, Queen Creek Restaurant Week, and a fantasy football draft party on Aug.
24 at Title 9 Sports Grill. Future events include a rattlesnake education session in Scottsdale on Aug. 27—plus community art workshops and theater shows running through September and October.
🏛️ Government
Queen Creek now faces changes from its newly incorporated neighbor San Tan Valley—its incorporation followed the delivery of over 10,600 signatures in April and an election on Aug.
5. Council Member Jeff Brown said the move may bring both opportunities and challenges to the region.
🏈 Sports
Jake Allen teaches psychology and serves as the head wrestling coach at Crismon High School — he also co-founded MAW Wrestling Academy.
He built the team from the ground up and earned a Queen Creek Unified School District Award of Excellence in 2023, and he expects his student wrestlers and class members to meet high standards.
