➤ Queen Creek HS Theatre Co is hosting a Karaoke Car Wash event on Saturday, August 30 at Central Christian Church (22505 E Ocotillo Rd) from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Cars will get a premium wash and live show tunes by theatre students with a $10 donation to support the program. Queen Creek Independent
➤ Queen Creek is inviting community nominations for the QC Neighborly Award as part of QC Neighborly Week to honor neighborhood efforts like donation drives, meal support and clean-ups—nominations are due by Monday, Sept. 8. Residents will vote from Sept. 9 to 16 and the winning neighborhood will be announced on Sept. 22, earning a free spot in the QC Hometown Christmas Parade. Queen Creek Independent

➤ Crismon High teacher Andrea Pettit was named the 2025 Arizona Middle Grades Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Association for Middle Level Education—she was nominated by her administrators with support from colleagues and families, and she has inspired math students for seven years.
