Queen Creek is preparing for Founders Day, a fun event for families that will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept.

20 at Frontier Family Park. Residents can pre-buy wristbands for $12.50 until Sept. 12—wristbands will cost $15 at the event.

Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley announced on August 25th that she is taking a temporary leave to spend more time with her family—she will forgo her mayoral stipend and is expected to return in late fall while Vice Mayor Leah Martineau manages mayoral duties and town services continue without interruption.
