  • Campbell Faulkner, a former Queen Creek Hometown Hero, helped more than 50 Coolidge Elementary students buy back-to-school supplies using a $25,000 donation check from Queen Creek Walmart—its manager Angie Bills presented the check on September 6. Faulkner, who founded Campbell’s Crew Cares in 2017, will use additional funds to support the students during the holidays.  Queen Creek Independent
  • Queen Creek’s recycling center will permanently close its Ellsworth Road location — adjacent to Pocket Park for Pups and the Municipal Services Building — on Sept. 29 and will open a new facility near Frontier Family Park on Oct. 1.  Queen Creek Independent

  • Queen Creek Unified School District’s board voted 4-1 Tuesday to let the law firm Osborn Maledon start legal action if needed against EVIT, which proposed to change funding terms for the career and technical education satellite programs shared with eight districts—one board member voted no.  Queen Creek Independent
