Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 26th of September.
Good morning, Queen Creek.
Vestar announced that Queen Creek’s newest Target will open at 8 a.m. on Oct.
12 at Vineyard Towne Center on N. Gantzel Road, making it the second Target in town and the 48th in the state. The 145,000-square-foot store will add 160 jobs and include a CVS Pharmacy, Target Optical, a Disney Store, an Apple Store and an in-store Starbucks — a move that brings more shopping options to the area.
Queen Creek Med Spa held its grand opening on Monday at its downtown location (22043 S.
Ellsworth Road), where local leaders, Town Council Member Bryan McClure, Chamber of Commerce staff and business owners joined owners Alicia Bishop and Kara Lindsay to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony. The spa offers non-invasive aesthetic and wellness treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers and DiamondGlow facials.
Queen Creek town council voted on Sept.
17 to approve a purchase agreement for up to 1.2 million acre-feet of stored water over 110 years. The town will buy water in increments of 12,000 acre-feet per year—locking in the price from Harquahala Valley—as part of an unconventional move.
