Queen Creek Firefighter Rob Keay rescued a bear cub named Ted from a palm tree at Arizona Farms and Felix roads in Florence on Sunday— the cub had been evading capture since last week.

Residents in Queen Creek have this last week to enjoy the splash pads at Founders’ Park, Mansel Carter Oasis Park, and the spray pad at Frontier Family Park (closing Saturday, Nov.

1) and (re-opening on March 1).
