Amberlin Queen Creek — a 55+ resort-style community located at 270 W.
Ocotillo Road near Ironwood Drive — celebrated its first birthday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 7. The community offers studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments along with resort amenities such as a pool, courts, a fitness studio, a dog park and a clubhouse.

J.O. Combs Unified School District in San Tan Valley has narrowed its search for a new superintendent to four finalists, including Erika Copeland from Queen Creek Unified School District.
Community members, parents, students and staff will meet the finalists at 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 (43371 N. Kenworthy Road) to learn about their visions and give feedback.
