The Queen Creek Town Council approved a plan to annex 5 acres at the southwest corner of San Tan Boulevard and Ellsworth Road for four medical and general office buildings by Frank West Capital LLC.
The vote was 5—0 as council member Bryan McClure was absent while Mayor Julia Wheatley remains on leave.

Jada O’Leary of Gilbert led American Leadership Academy’s girls cross country team to clinch its third consecutive state title by finishing third in the state championship— all five scoring runners placed in the top 35 and six varsity athletes will return next season to build on their momentum.
