- ➤ The covered arenas at the Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre are open to public riders every Saturday in August from 6 a.m. to noon for the Beat the Heat Summer Open Riding Series—riders must sign a waiver upon arrival—waiver forms are available at the venue. Queen Creek Independent
- ➤ Residents in Queen Creek will celebrate the annual Founders' Day on Saturday, Sept. 20 at Frontier Family Park—an event featuring music, eating competitions, inflatables and Battle of the Badge relay style races from 5 to 9 p.m. Entry is free but some activities and vendor items will cost extra.
