Queen Creek officials said the annual Founders’ Day wristband pre-sale will begin Monday, Aug.
18 at $12.50 per person through Sept. 12. The celebration is set for Saturday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Frontier Family Park (20039 S. 220th St) with wristbands costing $15 on the day and available for pick-up at the Recreation Aquatic Center from Sept. 15 to Sept. 19.
The Valley hosts free ceramic bowl workshops every Friday, a play based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory until Aug.16, and an art and ice cream social on Aug.15.
Other events include Drunk Shakespeare, a car show at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, and Queen Creek Restaurant Week from Aug.18 to 24 — offering fun ways to beat the August heat.

Vineyard Towne Center in Queen Creek is now fully leased after the final shop space was signed to Pet Supplies Plus—new dining, shopping and service options will open soon with a Target under construction set to debut in October and other tenants opening by fall.
